It’s that time of year again – MEGASAGA TIME!

Are you a writer? Published, unpublished, aspiring? Can YOU write the perfect story with beginning, middle and end in NO MORE THAN 100 words? WELCOME to the competition in which YOU can WIN £100 for a 100 word short story.

This is the fourth year of this exciting competition, which will be judged by a panel of writers, including our wonderful winners from the previous competitions.

What is a MEGASAGA?

A MEGASAGA is a story in 100 words. EXACTLY 100 words, including the title. And with the possibility that the world is about to emerge from the crisis of the Pandemic – before plunging into the Climate Crisis – there is SO MUCH to write about!

ANYBODY CAN ENTER, AND AS A GIFT TO YOU, ENTRY IS FREE!

EXACTLY 100 words including the title. Count them!

It doesn’t have to be dark…Humour will cheer us up! And don’t we need it. It doesn’t have to be funny- previous winners have brought tears to our eyes. Whether character-driven or plot-driven, it only has to be CRAFTED, and fit easily and comfortably into its 100-word straitjacket.

THE COMPETITION: RULES

1. Submissions must be exactly 100 words including the title and must be entirely original, unpublished and the work of the person making the submission.
2. Submissions must be emailed to jonelkon3@gmail.com. The subject line should contain MEGASAGA ENTRY 4.
3. No more than 3 entries per person.
4. No correspondence will be entered into.
5. The DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES is 27th JUNE 2021
6. The 10 SHORTLISTED ENTRIES will appear on this website on the 7th July 2021, allowing my readers to make comments and to cheer for their favourites. No entries are accepted after this date.
7. The SHORTLISTED ENTRIES will be submitted to a panel of 3 writers, and previous competition winners, who will make the decision as to who will win the £100 prize. The judges’ decision is final.
8. The WINNER will be announced on this website on the 27^th JULY 2021 – and the prize will be rushing his/her way by Paypal or bank transfer!
9. This competition is subject to the laws of the United Kingdom governing competitions.
